ISK 350,000 was donated to the Society for Assistance to Mothers in Kópavogur in lieu of the traditional Christmas cards to customers.

The Karmøy Aluminium Plant in Norway Inaugurated

HRV, which is owned by Mannvit and Verkís, had a comprehensive agreement with Hydro for the design, procurement and management of part of the project.

Seminar on Moisture Damage in residential and office buildings

Specialists at Landspitali University Hospital explained the health effects of mould, and an architect and an engineer gave talks on measures to combat moisture problems.

The Box – Design Competition between Secondary Schools in HR

Mannvit’s challenge was to build a bridge from 1 kg of spaghetti and bridge a 50 cm gap. The FB team built the strongest bridge, which could withstand 1.8 kg, while MH won the overall competition.

Theistareykir Power Station Commissioned

Mannvit played a big part in preparations, designing and building of Landsvirkjun’s 90 MW geothermal power plant.

Nordfjordur tunnel inaugurated

The tunnel that is 7,9 km long is a vast improvement for the commuters in East Iceland. It shortens the distance between Eskifjordur and Neskaupsstadur by 4 km. Mannvit worked closely with Vegagerdin (Icelandic Road Administration) on the tunnel drilling, supports, HVAC and roads inside and outside the tunnels.

The Federation of Trade and Services and Mannvit held a meeting in Grand Hotel on the effects of mould in houses and the legal status of property owners.
